Service Description

My hands-on wig making by sewing machine workshop is a practical and interactive session where participants learn how to create wigs using a sewing machine as the primary tool. During the workshop, You will be guided through the process of making a wig step-by-step, using sewing techniques to attach hair wefts or tracks to a wig cap. Here's a brief overview of what my workshop will cover: Introduction to Wig Making: The workshop will begin with an introduction to wig making, explaining the different types of wigs and the materials needed for the hands-on session. I will also discuss the various types of wig caps available and their respective benefits. Preparing the Wig Cap: You will learn how to measure and fit the wig cap on a mannequin head or a model. They will be shown how to secure the cap to the base securely. Selecting and Sewing Hair Wefts: I will also demonstrate how to select hair wefts or tracks that match the desired hair texture, color, and length. You will then learn how to sew these wefts onto the wig cap using a sewing machine, ensuring a secure and natural-looking attachment. Customizing the Hairline: I will guide you on how to customize the hairline to create a more natural appearance. Techniques such as adding baby hair or plucking hair from the wig's front will be covered. Finishing and Styling: After attaching the hair wefts, You will learn how to trim and style the wig to achieve the desired look. If time is allowed I provide tips on cutting, layering, and shaping the wig to suit different face shapes and preferences. Wig Maintenance: The workshop will conclude with a discussion on wig maintenance and care tips to ensure the longevity and durability of the handmade wig. By the end of the hands-on wig making workshop, you will have the basic understanding of the process involved in creating a wig using a sewing machine. You will gain practical skills that they can further refine with practice and use to create wigs for themselves or others in the future. It's important to note that wig making is a skill that takes time and practice to master, so participants may continue to improve their techniques beyond the workshop.
